Kirsty Macleod : Johnny Cash

Kirsty Macleod introduces Jim Marshall’s insightful and intelligent portraits of Johnny Cash in this exhibition at Summerhall until 24th November. This exhibition of thirty black and white and colour images and documentation cover the period when Cash was struggling with his own demons of despair and drugs. Supported by his wife June Carter and her family Cash found his redemption in a renewed faith and in critical and popular acclaim for the nationally networked ‘Johnny Cash Show’. This is the first time these photographs have been exhibited in Scotland and many of them are being premiered for the very first time. From 7 Oct- 24 Nov.
