George Wyllie: Art in Focus

George Wyllie was considered by many to be one of Scotland’s most important artists. Noted for his temporary works such as Straw Locomotive and Paper Boat, George believed in making art with a message for the public to enjoy. His daughter, Louise Wyllie, among others discuss the importance of his work and the lasting impact it has had on Scottish artists.

The Mitchell Library in Glasgow is playing host to a major retrospective of George Wyllie’s work. Showcasing works that have never been made available to the public before alongside well known pieces, this exhibition runs from the 3rd November to the 2nd February.
