Photographers Hugh Hood and Donald John MacLean introduce their exhibitions, which are currently on at the Lillie Art Gallery, Milngavie. ‘The Truth – Even if it Didn’t Happen’ is part of a larger work of MacLean’s and is a series of images taken on his Holga 120. MacLean’s style is primarily street photography, capturing the everyday life on the streets of Glasgow.
Hood’s exhibition ‘Glasgow 1974-1978’ is a collection of photographs Hood took at a time when parts of Glasgow were undergoing significant change, with some tenements were being pulled down while others were undergoing construction.
The exhibitions are on at the Lillie Art Gallery, Milngavie, until the 5th July 2014. Find out more about the works on show by going to http://www.streetlevelphotoworks.org/
