As part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival, a collective of artists have created a series of works in various media for the large exhibition Out of Sight/Out of Mind, in Summerhall’s Meadow Suite Gallery.
The exhibition explores the theme of power, with works created by artists who have experienced mental health issues. Elspeth Morrison, Lucy Arnot and Lauren Stonebanks discuss their involvement with the exhibition, and how an opportunity such as this offers people the chance to express themselves creatively.
The exhibition is a collaboration between The Willow Project, MECOPP Gypsy/Traveller Carer’s Project, Gallery on the Corner, Penumbra’s Edinburgh Self Harm Project, The Alma Project and CAPS Advocacy.
Out of Sight/Out of Mind is on in the Meadow Suite Gallery, Summerhall, until the 19th October 2014.
