In 2011 ATLAS commissioned Zoe Walker and Neil Bromwich to create a soundscape Celestial Skye featuring Celestial Radio for the organisations first major event Bàta Brèagha: Bonnie Boat. The event was part of celebrations for The Year of Scotland’s Islands. Rosie Somerville coordinated the project and Hector MacInnes was involved in the production of the sound scape.

ATLAS Arts seeks to be a high quality producer and commissioner of contemporary art that will frame Skye & Lochalsh’s identity, create connections between artists and audiences. ATLAS aims to inspire audiences by initiating contemporary arts projects of local, national and international significance.
