William Latham brings Mutator 1+2 to Summerhall as part of the Edinburgh International Science Festival. His work blends organic imagery and computer animation, using software modelled upon the processes of evolution to generate three-dimensional creations that resemble fantastical ‘other-worldly’ forms such as ancient sea shells, contorted animal horns or organic alien spaceships.
This interview with Latham was filmed when he presented Mutator 1+2 at Centre Space, Visual Research Centre, Dundee, last year.
Mutator 1+2 is on at Summerhall, Edinburgh, until the 22nd May.
